Service & Revision

Available 24/7

IEO has its own service team that is available 24/7 for on-site or in-house repair and maintenance of transformers. Underlying materials are standard in stock for N21 and N15. Furthermore, technical support is provided to your account managers for specific customer questions. Our Service & Reversion team is responsible for service, diagnostics, maintenance and repair of our own and third-party oil-filled and cast resin transformers.

Maintenance by the specialists at IEO extends the life of every transformer and increases operational reliability. The costs of maintenance and reversion do not outweigh the ultimate savings.

Maintenance

The transformer offered is maintenance-free within the applicable IEC standards. The version is hermetically sealed with air cushion. This has the advantage (in contrast to fully filled) that the gasket work is not in direct contact with the oil, so that leakages are excluded. Furthermore, an overpressure valve is placed on the cover, so that virtually no pressure is built up in the transformer and the transformer box cannot develop fatigue leaks.

If a customer wants a specific DGTP (DCMR) protection relay, the transformer can also be completely filled.

The maintenance interval of Fudura is set at 12 years. Our advice is: during the visit perform a visual inspection and oil sample (for dielectric value, color indication and Tan Delta measurements.)

Based on these measurements, a good estimate can be made of the status and estimated obsolescence.

Extends the operating life of every transformer, while enhancing operational safety.

Revision

For transformers at the of their regular lifespan, IEO can revise them for re-usage. When we receive requests for reversions, the relevant transformer first undergoes a comprehensive inspection and oil diagnosis. Based on this, advice is given on possible re-deployment, based on the principle that revision and re-deployment must be economically profitable.

Our service activities and revision capabilities include the following aspects:

  • Oil sampling and analyses.
  • Oil treatment and regeneration, oil replacement.
  • Diagnostic measurements and advice.
  • Testing and replacing penetrations and modification of penetrations.
  • Change vector group.
  • Paper sampling and analysis.
  • Fairing repairs and sustainable repair of leaks.
  • Installing/replacing accessories: DGPT2, Thermometer, pressure relay, buchholz, PT-100 etc.
  • Upgrading by means of replacing or adding all types of coolers, fans and pumps.
